Looking at the statistics on fflogs, Machinists tend to perform better than most DPS classes on A5 and A7, and are actually the highest performers on A6 on average. Their average DPS on A8 is on the lower end of the scale though, roughly tied with Bards.

Based on the number of recorded logs for each class over this entire raid tier, Summoners seem to be the least played DPS class, followed by Machinists.

From personal experience, I see summoners a bit more than once a week in duties, and MCHs not so much. Maybe I underestimated MCHs a bit, but I still hardly ever see any (of course I see some here and there though). I personally cannot find a way to make MCH dps good with Gauss barrel, except for the initial wildfire burst.

You have clearly no idea what you're talking about. MCH is in a REALLY good place at the moment and outperforms BRD by a significant amount, and even some of the other jobs in certain duties.

I would love this! I rarely play anything but WHM these days, but I have been keeping my MCH geared
