Except for how there's many many many bosses who change phases and go invulnerable.
I apologise. Somehow I missed that part of the original post.
Taking that into consideration, Wildfire would either need to go off the instant a boss goes invulnerable, and potentially miss some uptime it could have afterwards; or delay itself until a boss is no longer invulnerable, which seems kinda like cheating, given that other classes don't have an option to keep their buffs up during down phases.
Quite right. A manual detonation option is the best solution.
Well, that's the kind of thing that is corrected by fight knowledge. It's not really that different than using a buff right before a phase change where the boss becomes untargetable/invulnerable.

I don't really play machinist but a raid mate dies and I think this would be a great idea.

I agree with this. It would be a wonderful addition.
Signed.
This has been brought up before but didn't catch any traction.
A detonate option for wildfire should definitely be added. I think it can prevent people from goin mch in progression because wildfire can be so unforgiving. What If smn couldn't end dwt early with a deathflare because they had to wait the full 15 seconds. Missing out on that finisher is so depressing lol![]()

i hope this time we catch someones attention regarding this, like any answer is ok, if they even say that its designed like what it is currently or looking into it, like any answer at least we get someone looking into it.This has been brought up before but didn't catch any traction.

also yeah, that smn point is spot on, exactly the same thing, imagine them having to go through with deathflare on a 15 seconds waiting time before it actually go off.
Manual detonation might seem like a good idea, but MCH will still be suffering a large DPS loss with manual detonation. The SMN Deathflare example just means SMN is only losing out on Ruin III's. Prematurely detonating Wildfire is a much larger loss.
Fried popoto enthusiast.

You know what's a bigger DPS loss than manual detonation? Wildfire not detonating.
