Thread: We're getting stat allocation back in 1.20, right?

This post seems to indicate that at least for awhile the stats will be automated. So does that mean we can continue to let the system automate for us? I don't wish to refine myself to a fine point. Plus someone will just complain if i'm not stated to their desires anyways. I don't really see why the automated/manual system can't co-exist side by side. Some of us like to manual allocate stats, others (like myself) strongly dislike it. Why not cater to everyone? You love to do that it seems.

They will be automated and you will have the option to allocate additional stats as well, you just wont have as many points to allot as before.

Oh hey you mean I don't have to have 100+ piety on Lancer for no apparent reason at all and can actually have some HP befitting a Roegadyn again?

I heard somewhere that higher Piety boosts how much HP you drain with uh... Speed Surge? Life Surge? (I havent played Lancer in a while ><) If it boosts extra effects on attacks you might want to keep some of it, although I'm guessing there's a point to lancer having higher piety in the class revamps, since theres some other odd gear/materia choices for some classes (like PGL getting access to elemental potency on its weapons).

one more thing, i actually told to Baxter that i didnt mean to be offensive, sometimes i may sound nazi type but you were doing the same just because i told him something that many here were thinking was the logical step from SE, i invite people to play the game before asking for changes because some things are already fixed, yeah classes needs a lot of tweaks on stats like archer being the best DD before 1.19, now sucks because SE over nerfed it.

Stats didnt work before 1.19 now they work not as i expected, like STR i tought that it was gonna be the same as FFXI that 2 str=1 attack and all, but they work if they let us move stats as we wish without limits theres not going to be any balance.

Hmm, so rather than slamming a dungload of statpoints to some attribute i know i need, but don't know how much is "enough", i'll be given a pre-balanced class, with an option to change the emphasis of some attributes towards my style of play, or the balance of the party. I like it :3

If by "change towards my style of play" you mean "bad at the game".
