    Macro progression & choices

Work in progress so some things may be wrong, If you do find any inaccuracies, please let me know and I will correct them!
To do: Soon I'll be adding a tips & tricks tab which is useful for increasing your chances of HQ. This doesn't work for all macros.

    Useful Macros

Please take this into consideration: Many thanks to Rhoda Baker & Gordon Tyler & anyone else who may have contributed towards making the awesome simulator at http://ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/#/simulator. As awesome as this simulator is though, it's not 100% accurate & so I’ve taken the time to find out the minimum stat requirements for all macros below by testing them in-game. This means if a screenshot shows it won’t complete/HQ, ignore it as the macro will work.

    General notes

These macros focus on skills that don't rely on RNG such as hasty touch/Rapid Synthesis etc (Although 1 macro does rely on flawless synthesis). Also the idea of this isn't for you to use all of these macros but to pick the ones you can use & to show you macros you may benefit from if/when improving your stats.

These don’t take into consideration the Excellent/Good/Bad conditions & so there is a chance they won’t HQ 100% of the time. I’d suggest manually crafting if this is a problem. The rotations/stat requirements are based on if the condition was always normal.

Where there's multiple macros to complete the same craft e.g. I've listed 6 level 60/1* 70 durability macros, I've separated the macros into 3 categories to help you decide what macro type would be most suitable.
    • All class Macros - Made so any class can use it without the need to rework the macro depending on which class
    • Fast Macros - Made for those looking for fast rotations to save a lot of time when crafting in bulk
    • Low stat macros - Made for those with low stats

Also a macro with the name e.g. "Fast 1" is better than "Fast 2" for example

Level 60/2* macros - There are 2 macros that can hq level 60/2* crafts

    Level 60/2* macro - All class/Fast

    Required stats: 1004 Craftsmanship/1018 Control/474 CP

    Advantages:
    • Fastest known rotation (2 button/22 step rotation compared with the 3 button/39 step rotation alternative macro listed further down)
    • Can’t fail the craft unlike the maker’s mark/flawless synthesis alternative

    Disadvantages:
    • High stat requirements which may be hard to reach for both specialist/non-specialist crafters
    • Lower chance to hq if unlucky with condition

    Cross Class Skills:
    • Muscle Memory
    • Comfort Zone
    • Steady hand 2
    • Innovation
    • Ingenuity 2
    • Byregot’s Blessing
    • Careful Synthesis 2

    Level 60/2* macro - All class/low stat

    Required Stats: 910/946/977/1011/1046 Craftsmanship / ??? Control / 478 CP

910 Craftsmanship - 11/13 Flawless Synthesis must succeed
946 Craftsmanship - 10/13 Flawless Synthesis must succeed
977 Craftsmanship - 9/13 Flawless Synthesis must succeed
1011 Craftsmanship - 8/13 Flawless Synthesis must succeed
1046 Craftsmanship - 7/13 Flawless Synthesis must succeed

    Advantages:
    • Lower stat requirements (A lot easier to reach these stats on non-specialist crafters too)
    • Higher chance to HQ (If you had e.g. the 1018 control needed for the Muscle Memory macro then this rotation would give you a higher chance to hq if you were unlucky with the condition)

    Disadvantages:
    • Flawless synthesis is an RNG skill so it’s possible to fail the craft
    • Slow rotation (3 button macro/39 steps)

    Cross Class Skills:
    • Maker's Mark
    • Flawless Synthesis
    • Comfort Zone
    • Steady hand 2
    • Innovation
    • Ingenuity 2
    • Byregot’s Blessing
    • Careful Synthesis 2

Red scrip 70 Durability macros - There are 2 macros here

These are for those that may not have the stat requirements for any of the level 60 macros so if you have the stat requirements for at least one of the level 60 macros I’d suggest using that instead.

To get the most out of red scrip collectables you need a collectability (quality) rating of 7100

Red scrip 70 Durability macro - 1 button macro

If you have the stat requirements for this then you have the stat requirements for at least 1 of the level 60 macros. Only reason you’d want to use this is if you don’t have the stat requirement for 1 of the 1 button level 60 macros but do for this.

    Required stats: 839 Craftsmanship/ 863 Control/405 CP

    Advantages:
    • 1 button macro

    Disadvantages:
    • High stat requirements
    • Uses Brands for progression e.g. “Brand of Lightning” so can could be annoying when trying to use on other crafter classes

    Cross Class Skills:
    • Ingenuity
    • Name of Lightning
    • Brand of Lightning
    • Innovation
    • Byregot’s Blessing
    • Careful Synthesis 2

Red scrip 70 Durability macro - Low stats

    Required stats: 695 Craftsmanship/ 674 Control/415 CP

    Advantages:
    • Lower stat requirements

    Disadvantages:
    • Not a 1 button macro
    • Uses Brands for progression e.g. “Brand of Lightning” so can could be annoying when trying to use on other crafter classes

    Cross Class Skills:
    • Comfort Zone
    • Steady hand 2
    • Manipulation
    • Innovation
    • Byregot’s Blessing
    • Ingenuity
    • Name of Lighting (other)
    • Brand of Lightning (other)

    Nice thread BTW.

Since you are using macro, I would recommend using the following finisher on all your macros to protect against Poor Quality Byregot's. This will also provide you two chances at Good condition Byregot's finishers.

    SH2 <wait.3>
    Great Strides <wait.3>
    Ingenuity II <wait.3>
Byregot's Brow (this only activates on Good condition and causes following Innovation to be skipped)
    Innovation <wait.3>
Byregot's Blessing <wait.3> (only activates if Inner Quiet still up because Byregot's Brow did not activate)

Thanks, It's a work in progress atm & wouldn't work for all macros. Going to add tricks & tips like that, precise touch trick etc to the general notes later

For the record, the 13-steps macro indicated as "Level 60/70 Durability macros - Fast " works very well for recipes up to level 59 (perfect for draconians) with 980/970 (No food needed) With 988 craftsmanship, progress ends at 933/919. I haven't done any extensive tests to determine the breakpoint yet.

I use it specifically for draconians. For other classes, I tend to use a 15-step macro that is more easily cross-class'able.

It shocks me everytime to see Ing2 > Brand one-shot the progress, such a good feeling.

For 35 durability level 60, I've been using the following. It's not the "best" in regards to quality (need 1032 control for 100%), but it is fairly fast (14 steps) and can be reduced to 13 steps by removing Innovation and upgrade one of the previous touches with the CP you save that way.

Scale Glue is a level 59 item but you may prefer this macro as it requires less Craftsmanship & Control while resulting in better quality:

Can change "Master's Mend" for "Manipulation" if needed but if you have the CP I'd suggest sticking with "Master's Mend" as it's not a cross class skill.

You could add a "Byregot's Brow" to bait Excellent procs after "Great Strides" too but you know this, just saying for anyone else who may not know.

If you feel you want a 13 step, I'd suggest removing the first innovation but I don't think it's worth doing, removing an innovation from this macro would still be better than removing & upgrading a touch in the macro you posted.
