Implementing a good thing from another MMO

No thank you. FFXIV has enough fluff content imo. I dont understand why people want so much dress up content. I can understand women enjoying it, but grown men? Its a step above playing barbie. I have always had a hard time wrapping my head around this. What is the fun in playing dress up? Like really, I dont get it. Im not against glamour, but the game needs way more attention in other areas.

EDIT: Lotro was a GOOD game......up through Moria. After the mines of moria expansion it went down some imo

It's called ReCREATION for a reason. Some like minions some like mounts both of which you can only use one at a time and only in non combat areas. I like armors which I can show off at all times whether in or out of combat. Male or female young or old we all have our preferences and at the end it is a game so no need to classify or reject a suggestion due to any type of gender or age. To each his/her own.

People, including grown men, like to role play. Glamour plays a HUGE part in that. Not to mention I don't really know why it concerns you whether a man likes to play dress up, it's not hurting you. That comment was a little insensitive.

Also, literally every adult I've known who owns expensive dolls and dresses them up has been a man.

People enjoy their fashion, whether they're male or female. Granted in the real world sometimes fashion tends to lean more to treating Women and leaving men with limits.
Regardless of that, I'm sure many men also enjoy being able to stylize themselves with fashionable outfits in a more masculine manner, occasionally effeminate. Depends on the guy and their preferences.

Yeah this surprises me. Instead of asking for solid end game content, actual FC content, and new game elements..I see tons of threads on glamour. Don't get me wrong, I love glamour myself but I feel there is many game issues that need to be addressed before...

What good is my glamour if I just do it and then afk/idle in my FC lawn..:/ I miss having end game content lol.

I agree with the wardrobe system they have in something like GW2, but I HATE how much of a cash shop it is, when you have to buy the charges to use said wardrobe item, and all in all it's better to not have it at all, people complain about some of the mog station, no imagine if you had to go buy "equipment fantasia" XD

Just make it use glamour prisms still, keep them relevant but make the system a little better. For example I would like to see glamour prisms stored how you store Shards, Crystals and Clusters, all compiled onto 1 tab not taking any inventory so you could stock them up and change your glamour on the fly. This would be a perfect system to me anyways, not sure how others feel about that with the glamour prism storage, it might do something to the market? I could see the glamour prism market bloom or die, I guess to work around it dying they would have to allow you to quick synth them (If you can't already, can't remember) and/or make every craft give 3 prisms.

which is why we will never have an wardrobe/archive system to much money for SE in retainers xD

One thing that makes me chuckle is that some people think SE is above the whole jump potion idea and will never do it when they are already selling you space and not allowing you to naturally send things to characters on your own account. They aren't debating on doing it, they're just figuring out the prices.
