Newbies unite?

I have an extra pearl available, which I created because I had one with the same name in FFXI. The name would actually fit with a newbie friendly shell, so I'm more than willing to invite interested people to it. It'd be really just to try and make it easier to get (lower level) parties for exp, quests, or anything else. Should enough people join, we can then consider whether it's worth turning it into a 'real' shell, but I'd be more for it that people would join a more established shell once they're used to the game, have the levels for a 'real' shell, or at least feel they're comfortable enough to join one. There wouldn't be any limitations, and everyone would be welcome, and I guess the only rules would be enjoy the game, and be nice to others

The shell is called Shiroi Ryuu, which has 2 meanings really.
- Shiroi (白い) means amongst others white (color), pure, clean, innocent, etc. So it sort of describes new players.
- Ryuu (流) means amongst others school. It fits well with the fact that the shell would be a place for new players to learn the game.

However, ryuu written as 竜 means dragon, so Shiroi Ryuu also means white dragon ..


Again, if people think it might be an idea, I'd be happy to start giving people pearls/sacks. I'd prefer not to go through the trouble if we end up with just a couple of people in it though, that would defeat the entire purpose.

This sounds like a really good idea and I for one would like to join if you are still willing to do this. With the server mergers about to descend on us though I wonder if it may be better to wait till all that dust has settled first and then make a post on the Balmung server forum about this. May help the shell to take off as a "real shell" as there would be a bigger pool of people available who might wish to join.

I'll look for you in-game. Don't think there's a reason to wait until the merger is done to be honest, since everything will happen automatically, and we're not merging with a server with lots of new players

One thing we'd need, is a couple of people in NA willing to invite new people as well. As I'm in Europe myself, I'm not often online during NA prime

I just started 2 days ago and have been doing everything solo and i would like to join a ls if anyone has one. name is Malna sumi if anyone wants to give me a pearl
