Precious metals, am I doing it wrong?

So I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone. Figured I could mine to level GSM and BSM at the same time by hitting up Nophicas Wells to get Electrum and Iron.

I'm aiming at +4 as per discipleoftheland.com and I've equipped Sharp Vision, Field Mastery and Veteran Trade (They all increase chance of getting what is aimed for but never seem to activate).

Yet I've only came across two electrum in an hour. I've got a lot of alumen. A heck of a lot of alumen. Which is cool because I can go level some leatherwork. But being able to grind on my GSM would be cool too.

Any tips on hitting ores like electrum/mythril/cobalt more often?

You're not doing anything wrong, you're aiming at the right spot.

Electrum is always gonna be rare for finding in Nophica's Wells just because of the grade of the area. Grade 5 (Halitali) is when you'll be finding much more electrum ore. Mythril is found around Humblehearth or Fields of Glory (both Grade 4) but Treespeak and Dragonshead are much better prospects for it (Grade 5).

Electrum ore for me is quite easy to come by. I remember getting or hitting Electrum ore about 50% of my strike when I aim at sweet spot. But Alumen is madly plenty and will interfere with every spot we aim, yeah.

Mythril, on the other hand, is such a pain because we can dig them up one by one only. I got like 99+50 Silver Ore and 54 Mythril Ore when I was out there (Humblehearth) digging for Mythril LOL.
