SE Needs to do Another Player Poll

With all the topics popping up lately about people being unhappy with the game, I sincerely believe it's time for SE to do another player poll.

They did this back in 1.0 to determine if the players would be willing to see changes in gameplay in 2.0. The poll was advertised on the lodestone, in game, on the launcher, etc. Since the forums aren't always accurate in terms of the community as a whole, it would be a great way for SE to see if players are happy or not with the current state of the game.

I wouldn't say that the game is in dire need of this as I feel like people have been far happier with the game from 3.2 onwards, but this kind of thing is never bad. Ideally I would want to see this every x.x5 patch, but maybe thats too soon, maybe every other x.x5 patch to cover the gear cycle as a whole.

It rarely hurts to get customer feedback. I suppose it's just a whole lot more effort these days because the playerbase is bigger than during the 1.0 days and that's why they stopped doing them.

Although its very appreciated, I believe people feel we shouldn't be paying them AND doing their job for them lol. More paying them to DO their job. In-game surveys have been done for years and can acquire a lot more accurate information than something outside of the game can. I dont think its unreasonable to have a survey after every major patch to gauge how well the content is being received by the general population versus this assumption that if they are silent it automatically means they are happy.

Like I said before, these forums are not always accurate of the community's attitude on a whole. Not everyone posts their thoughts and opinions here. An official poll that is advertised here and ingame would give a much better impression to SE on what people want.

To add, I think it would show the public that they actually do care, which can mean more to some versus these scripted exchanges in the live letters.

The player base is too vast now compared to what we had in 1.0. And honestly I would be scared what the outcomes would be from the non ff fans on a poll. We already sorta have yoshi apparently speaking to non ff fans about ideas like level boosts and skipping potions.

It would be nice of them to implement a poll on the new content as well as suggestion box for improvements or things that they would like to see after a month or so after the content is released.

While I do appreciate what you've done, and your results are very interesting to look at, I would like to see SE meet your efforts in turn, and provide us with an official means of feedback the same way you do.

In fact I think it would be a better practice than simply parsing the forums for vocal feedback and looking at in-game metrics.
