yesterday i was on a team with a archer, ninja, white mage, me as a ast. Throughout the encounter the bard kept jumping around and shooting. he could not just stand still. there were two healers, he wasnt going to die

I don't see an issue here.
Palace of the Dead seems to have that effect on bards, every one I've seen in there is running and jumping and kiting around like they just downed ten Red Bulls. It's cute except when they get unlucky and kite themselves right into a bunch of traps. :P
this bard landed on a trap once and pulled 10 mobs another time
I played bard in there, know the feel from their side...
Let them run a bit, its been months since they can actually move and attack at the same time :v
(and if they die... can't say much on that)
Even with a Pomander of Sight, I still see them run directly over traps. Not necessarily just Bards, but they do seem to be particularly over-anxious.
They're tired of playing like a caster with Wanderer's Minute so being low level again gives them an opportunity to play like a bard again.
We really needed this thread...thanks. And since we're on the same server, I'll make sure to give you a big thumbs up if I see you.
when that happens you run away and let the fool die, they won't attack you since you have 0 enmity.
