With queue times being disproportional due to the role you do choose, the weight of matches should be looked at differently. Roles should be judged in a separate way because looking at the top 100, the spread of the roles represented are skewed with healers and melee being represented more. Whereas a healer's queue time is a few minutes, a ranged queue can be 20+. Meaning a healer can get more matches in faster then a ranged or a melee for example. The law of numbers and how the elo system works is if you win one match at least for every 2 you lose you can still come out ahead. Based on the sheer number of matches certain roles can get, they are able to climb over time while other roles get fewer amounts of matches and have to win each one or fall behind. For example, with a BRD, it's not quantity over quality, its quality over quantity. They would have to win each match they're given because they get far less queues than other roles.
The proposed idea, along with having the top 100 for each data center, is to look into doing a top 30 for each role; Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Tank, and Healer. This makes it so players are not judged overall based on what rating they have in the long run, but in a bracket that has the same general queue times/match opportunities. When you look at the number of matches played in the data centers and look at what role/job it's associated with, you can see there is a problem. Ranged DPS should be judged against other Ranged DPS. What might be 14th in data center's ranking overall, might be 1st for your role. As for rewards you can go along with the same premise of outfits, but make them more aesthetic to the type of role they represent. Have it be different for each role in a visible sense (and not simply palette swaps). Let the players who actively PvP see who is some of the top players for what style they primarily play.
