Frame rate Issues with new GTX 1080 Founder's Edition

I recently installed the new GTX 1080 Founder's Edition GPU and since, my FPS has been horrendous. I found out that part of the issue was Discord. Eliminating Discord, I found that i went from 7-14FPS to 33-37FPS.

I should be running @ closer to 60 FPS, my system is no slouch, running Tomb Raider @ 4k w/ direct x 12 and the like.

I've beat my head over the wall trying to find anything that could cause the issue. So I ran the Heavensward Benchmark, and i noticed, that when it displays my GPU data, it registers only 3gigs of VRAM, from the 1080.

TL;DR Heavensward Benchmark registers 1/2 of my actual VRAM, which may be why I am having Framerate issues. Anyone else run into this or know of a fix?

My solution was exiting Discord as well. This brought me back up to full 60fps but sorry to hear you're still having issues.

I tested the benchmark and it also registers only 3GB VRAM. Possibly because it's a 32-bit program.

My only suggestion is to seek out other audio related processes and shut them down.

Its normal to only register half, Im not sure why but its very common and it happens for me too and in other benchmarks and I average 80FPS with my 1080FE.

It still has 8GB and btw the game doesnt even use 2GB.
