Dragon Song piano motif?

This is going to be a long shot. In the first part of the song, there's a piano part that plays that I swear was used in an earlier Final Fantasy. I just can't for the life of me remember even which game, let alone piece of music.

Now, Nobuo Uematsu himself uses a lot of call backs and references in his music. Final Fantasy 14 is riddled with them and I've been able to name them all EXCEPT this one.

I know it's not exclusive because I ran it by a musician friend of mine who has played all of the Final Fantasy games except 14. So we're both listening to everything up to 7 to try to figure out which piece it was.
