I dont think that you really know/understand what "Product placement" is - because you would know that this isnt... this is a collaboration event with another game, that is supposed to benefit everyone: Yokai Watch to get more people, FFXIV to probably get more people, the players to get some more content that they might or might not like. You're allowed to not like this content ofc - but I feel asking for not realising content like this ever again (aka collabs with other games etc.) is only hurting us, as playerbase, in the long run. It will stop innovation and the game from evolving - and I feel bad for the devs that there are so many people who object to one silly, little event and always seem to know better how they should manage their time...

The game didnt end when we had the collabs with FFXI (with a giant Shantoto running through the desert) or with Dragon Quest. It didnt end when we put eastern, christmas and halloween into it. The MQS was never effected and I doubt it will be in the future. They do take their lore serious but they're also able to lighten up from time to time - and thats good! To bad that you cant and have to be so bitter about something thats only supposed to be fun...
