Disappointed in Youkai Watch

Imo the event is irritating because i'm not paying a sub for a game with commercial breaks, and even if i don't take part in it its already prevented me from doing content i would rather do when they patched it in. Idk if this has been said or not already, just my two sense.

Probably the maintenance, which only happened because of the Yo-Kai event, and totally wasn't also making some adjustments to Palace of the Dead...

Yeah, really not sure how this is stopping anyone doing anything... If anything it's enabling FATEs again, not that anyone wants to do those...

This will happen regardless. And I hardly think 4 hours in the middle of the night will bring ruin to your experience.

Just so you know, all the Yo-Kai stuff was put in during 3.35, along with some Summer/Rising event stuff, IIRC... This maintenance/update was to adjust Palace of the Dead and correct some issues... SE could have canceled the Yo-Kai event, but this maintenance would still have occurred...

They add an event that COMPLETELY BREAKS THE IMMERSION OF THE GAMES LORE in a game that is COMPLETELY DESIGNED AROUND FINAL FANTASY FAN SERVICE.

This just feels like a really cheap marketing campaign.

Meanwhile the world is filled with thousands of other Warriors of Light. Because we're supposed to be one.

Meanwhile you can ride Twintania...and other beasts that are mythological. And suddenly have clones of themselves.

Meanwhile primals come back to life everytime you beat them. I guess they just take a break now and then.

Meanwhile Lightning came to our world, because we all love her right?

Meanwhile a lot of events are directly ripped off real life ones. Convenient.

Meanwhile guns don't have to be reloaded. That skill doesn't count, I want actual ammo numbers in my bar and actually buy my ammo!

Meanwhile quivers never run out of arrows. Same for the ammo.

I can go on but I doubt anyone would care.

But you know what? It almost looks like they don't take their games too seriously...hmmmmmm....yep this event is totally wrong, game's dead, a game can't be enjoyed because the story is ruined.

I mean it's not that we play games for the -gasp- GAMEPLAY!



Jokes aside, if you're really bothered with the lore first in a game, please read more books or watch movies. As much as some story stuff can be completely ignored sometimes, this is just a harmless event with crappy RNG. I think the lore won't be ruined for such a minuscule thing.
Plus, that's why Visual Novel and books exist anyway. But the event? Just avoid them so, not sure I see the problem here, but those things I mentioned above do break my immersion. But you won't see me complaining!
