Disappointed in Youkai Watch

Checked forum hoping to see someone talking ***** about the newest event. Not disappointed.

I love FF14 player base, they complain about the smallest things llike if they had nothing else to complain. It reminds me how great this MMO is compared to others.

Yea, I do enjoy the forums for that reason. Normally forums make me want to quit the game in despair, but these forums are mostly just talking about suggestions, or neat things people are doing, and occasionally someone whining about something inane like whether an in-game event full of wonderful free goodies is bad or not.

While I do agree that the yokai watch event is weird and doesn't necessarily fit into the game, I'm still going to go enjoy and farm it. Don't give me that crap about me 'not being a true FF fan' when I've played through every single game in the series, including spin-offs. You have no authority to claim such a thing, OP.

I've never cared for Yokai Watch, but I would work to get this dance if it was available XD.

Personally, I think the whole thing is kinda weird and the majority of the creatures don't even look all that appealing. And while they have done crossovers before, they still had the similarity of being a part of the Final Fantasy franchise except for Dragon Quest. I'm still going to participate in the event, but I won't be taking it as seriously as I have with past events.

Agreed. It's pretty disgusting. Product placement is bad enough in movies. I don't want it in my games. Especially in games where it's anachronistic.

I dont think that you really know/understand what "Product placement" is - because you would know that this isnt... this is a collaboration event with another game, that is supposed to benefit everyone: Yokai Watch to get more people, FFXIV to probably get more people, the players to get some more content that they might or might not like. You're allowed to not like this content ofc - but I feel asking for not realising content like this ever again (aka collabs with other games etc.) is only hurting us, as playerbase, in the long run. It will stop innovation and the game from evolving - and I feel bad for the devs that there are so many people who object to one silly, little event and always seem to know better how they should manage their time...

The game didnt end when we had the collabs with FFXI (with a giant Shantoto running through the desert) or with Dragon Quest. It didnt end when we put eastern, christmas and halloween into it. The MQS was never effected and I doubt it will be in the future. They do take their lore serious but they're also able to lighten up from time to time - and thats good! To bad that you cant and have to be so bitter about something thats only supposed to be fun...

I wonder how many Yokai Watch fans are crying about the integrity of their game being ruined by the Chocobo and Moogle characters...
