I would not be surprised if it gets pushed back again and advertised as a 4.0 feature XD
and anticipate egi glamour to only be able to switch back to carbuncle until 4.4, then maybe the developers will get around to sch fairy glamour or adding a ramuh skin for smn.
FFXI was developed on PC then ported to PS2. It was released in Japan on PS2 first. A lot of decisions in FFXI was made with PS2's HDD/graphic limitations in mind. Which in turn made for a ton of repeated assets like mobs, NPC's, gear.
I'm glad the PS2/360 versions were dropped. Now they can do some much needed quality of life improvements to the game.

3. Musketeer was a planned class to be released along with Arcanist(which was a completely different thing from the ACN we got in 2.0) in 1.0. Time constraints prevented that from happening. Yoshi-P never specifically said they were bringing Musketeer back. They had interest, but never officially said it was coming.
I'm glad SE decided to go with MCH. It is definitely a lot more interesting as a job and lore wise than Musketeer, which are basically or was the patrol of Limsa Lominsa. Something like MCH has been requested by people dating back to the FFXI days. Mustadio from Final Fantasy Tactics is a popular character and players wanted something like him, and that is what we got.
Basically, MCH is awesome and one of SE's better choices. MCH master race!
Also be nice if they gave us another content Survey like what they did Prior to ARR. Even if they didn't completely abide by what the overall feedback was, it still gave us an idea of what they were planning and what they were still working on.
I feel like they won't do this with how the player base is now. Before ARR it was more a close nit community that was all about FF now its just a melting pot for too many different types of gamers :/
PS: I am all for a survey and would even love an outline like yoshi did before ARR detailing what was coming up, what couldn't be done or what was possibly planned for the future.
And here I though summoner was about summoning. That excuse can only go so far. WoW is a prime example since warlock is pretty close to how summoner is. This game likes to stick to a role instead of a theme. Garuda = range | Ifrit = melee | Titan = Tank. There's nothing that is actually special for each one. People thinking that each avatar should 'fit' into this particular mold are honestly not thinking about how the class should be played. Going back to wow's warlock, you have the same thing, but then if you look at demonology warlock even now since they added even more pets, you have distinctive themes per pet outside of what each one can do. Voidwalker is your usual tank, felhunter or whatever that dog thing is has a dispel and interrupt. Imp has range can can cleanse. The main issue that this game has is that there's no real crowd control, so not only is summoner stuck in this 3 trick pony deal, but alot of other classes are since everyone is a one-man army and doesn't have to really do much outside of their rotation.
The slow battle is conditioned to have 2.5 of CGD, the whole goal of the game is created under this, reduce CGD ended up destroying the game.
Another thing, to this day it is not known whether the version of PS3 somewhat limited, there are no official declarasiones more things that can get people to think for which blame the version based on "assumptions" eh .. nope ..
We were promised to have mannequins as house furniture by 2.2, maximum by 2.3. Still waiting ...
