Speaking of Egis, since we can fight Shiva, Ramuh, Leviathan. I was expecting SE to add those in for SMN's. But we haven't had new Egis added. To me, it's about time we had it. And I don't play SMN. lol
Pfft.
The biggest let down they started in development was the ONE dang thing the original team was doing right (in my mind).
PvP involving giant ships which crafters had to be apart of to repair/upgrade the ships as classes attempted to take over the other ones.
THAT, even if it fell on its face, would have been cool.
I think we were supposed to be able to ride airsips by 3.2 in real time. And by 3.3 explore skies, like finding hidden islands in different vast zones, fighting NMs and stuff
They have said there is no reason to have more egis in the normal sense of fighting the primals and getting them as summons. We will instead be getting a glamour system that will allow to glamour our existing egis with new ones. Basically a cop out for making summoner more interesting. Please look forward to it though!
Unless I have missed it some where there been no mention of 4.0 not coming to PS3. They said they couldn't guarantee that 4.0 will come to PS3 (which awhile ago) but that doesn't mean they made that decision yet.
I mean like...if PS3 is really holding the game back, then we need to let it go.
Seriously, the PS4 is like what? $300-$400? Save up now and by the time 4.0 rolls you should be able to afford it.
Hell I'd wait to even buy the Neo since it will drop in price by then.
But yeah, it's not 100% set in stone right now.
As others have said, it's not been officially stated that 4.0 won't come out for the PS3, but even if they don't release the expansion for PS3, that doesn't mean 2.0 and 3.0 would stop working on a PS3. Likely they would keep going still (look at FFXI and how long the PS2 was supported!) which means no changes to the core system of things.
They're not just going to drop a platform as long as a reasonable number of people are still using it, and paying a monthly subscription.
