Why does PotD FORCE you to queue in-progress?

Seriously, this has really annoyed me. I queued for floors 41-50. I was given no choice on whether or not to queue for an in-progress party and I got forced into a group that was seconds away from downing the final boss on floor 50.

I'm now forced to reset to floor 1 with no idea what actually happened on floor 50. I saw no cutscenes, got no xp and no aetherpool progress.

You should not be forced into an in-progress party for content where joining halfway is incredibly counter-productive and wastes all your progress.

EDIT: I'm aware now that you can toggle the 'queue in progress' option via the Duty Finder, same as for normal DF content. I suppose at this point I would argue that this needs to be made clearer in game as there is absolutely no way to know this unless you go looking in the patch notes.
