    Time Card Question

My time with the game is almost up, so I'm thinking of using a time card to add more days. The thing is, when I look online, I only find time cards for the PC.

Are there any time cards for the consoles, like the PS4?

They're one and the same - time cards aren't console specific. Generally speaking the only codes that are ever platform-exclusive are the ones used to register ARR/Heavensward, everything else (time cards, bonus/promotional codes) works across the entire service account regardless of platform.

So, time cards works regardless of the platform?

Yes. They add time to your account, and your account determines what platform(s) you can play on(and you established that when you set up said account).

Okay. And even when the days are up, I can still renew playtime afterward?

Yes, just like a subscription, it lapsing just means that you cannot log in and play until you add game time to the account in some form.

Precisely. You could decide, for instance, to take some time off after your days are up. During that time you wouldnt be able to log in. Then when you get the urge to play again, you could add a card to get 30 more days and log on right away. I know you didnt ask about this, but it also would add those new 30 days to your veteran status so you still get closer to the various reward tiers(veteran status is just cumulative, it doesnt need to be consecutive). Everything regarding your character just kinda waits for you to come back if your account lapses. Your quest journal and inventory remain the same. Your retainers keep holding whatever they have(and even keep trying to sell things for a certain amount of days after you last log out) and waiting for you to come back and issue new orders. So you can pick up right where you left off.

Sweet. I was actually thinking about taking a break from the game for a while.

Is there a length of time after which your chars will be deleted if you stay away for too long?

No. Characters (and all their items, etc) are kept permanently in hopes that anyone who left the game might come back someday. The only thing you could lose is a house if you get one. Housing plots are limited, so those can be reclaimed by the system if not used. (The reclamation feature is currently halted, but scheduled to start again with the 3.4 update.)
