I think it's pretty clear to everyone that there are some fairly huge connection issues since the launch of 3.35 this week. The fact that they're so widespread is a fairly good indication that these aren't due to client side issues, but are server side. The reason should be fairly clear: The servers cannot handle cramming about 90% of their players into South Shroud at the same time. These issues could be easily addressed by just making Palace of the Dead accessible through a menu instead of an NPC, whether it's the Duty Finder or a separate menu of its own. It could also be taken care of by adding extra instances of South Shroud to accommodate all the extra traffic, like we've already seen SE do in the Heavensward zones. It likely wouldn't solve everything, but it would take a lot of strain off of the clearly bogged down servers.
