Trade Requests Break Casted Actions

Steps:
1. One player begins an action with a cast time, such as Hot Shot under the influence of Gauss Barrel. This also includes non-combat actions such as Return or Teleport.
2. A second player requests a trade with the first.
3. The cast is broken and a trade request is sent immediately.

A note that this action can and has been used to harass players, and has resulted in suspensions in the past.

Unfortunately it's how the system works currently but, as you correctly point out, is very much against the rules. The only solution is to report the offender.

I've had it happen & it's annoying. I assume that trades can't be attempted in instances, where real damage could be caused.

It can still be instigated in open-world content. Verified this earlier today during a FATE, the only requirement is for the trader to *not* be in combat themselves.
