How do I go about getting into PvP this late into the game?

I started the game about 6 months ago, and while I still have a lot to do I was hoping to do PvP since I like competitive stuff. The thing preventing me from PvPing are queue times. Is there no hope for me? Is there a place to look for pre-made teams or should I just give up on the idea of PvP?

Depending on your grand company que times might be much longer. To help yourself change to one of the less popular GCs, you'll lose more often but you get the ques.

Also since gear is all sync down to 150, you shouldn't worry about being undergeared. As you go on you want to try and get gear that focuses on det/crit and have enough accessories with crit/accuracy to have your accuracy at around 430ish. but that isn't required really.

You can also que The Feast, 4v4 Solo which is a good way to get a lot of games and wolves marks/GC exp.

Isn't Feast 4v4 ranked? I'm not sure I wanna impact other people's ranks just so I can learn how to PvP proper, and eventually get PvP gear.

As for GC changing, I have swapped to Twin Adder. I don't know if that will impact my queue times yet since I play on an EU server rather than NA.

Fair enough, just make sure to use your pvp exclusive abilities and spend points on them as you rank up and you should be good to go.

You'll be matched with other low rank people, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you're really adamant about playing, you'll pick up the basics fairly quickly anyway.

You have to start somewhere. People can cry about their rank all they want (and trust me, they will), but you have just as much a right to be there as anyone else. It's good that you're being considerate (not enough people are), but unfortunately, there isn't another active game mode out there right now that can serve as adequate training for 4v4 Feast. So, if you want to get into the fight, there's nothing for it except to just jump in. If you're really worried about effecting other people's ranks as a first timer, then I would recommend against healing. but otherwise just give it your all (and don't forget to bring your PvP actions with you).

This is probably a better time if you are completely new to get into Feast than season 1. The field is weaker since a majority of the top 100 from previous season don't seem to be playing this season, at least not yet. On primal 35% of the previous season's top 100 are playing and ranked again leaving ALOT of room for new players to come in and fill the other slots. If the rewards at the end of this season are exactly the same as last season you will get less salt from previous 100 players in losses since they aren't technically playing for anything anymore (though the 2 or 3 players competing for #1 may or may not still rage since losses actually matter to them and new players trying to get the gear this season for the 1st time will as well). Generally speaking though this season will likely be much easier to get into the top 100 than last season was as the luster from the inaugural season has worn off and the competition in the field got diluted with ppl retiring. There's a lot of sub 50% win rates on Primal ranked currently confirming this.

I actually played a match just the other night that was mostly golds-silvers, which was shocking, because it was only day 3. So, some of those former players are still active, and they have some seriously envious amounts of free-time. Regardless, you're correct. By and large, I've seen a lot of new names in the parties lately, and I've had couple of completely fresh players as well. It's good to see, because it would be nice if the PvP community could grow a little. I just hope the new people stick with it.
