How many loops needed for a PotD weapon?

I did 3 full loops 1-50, that's 150 floors. Have weapon and armor at +26. So to complete I need 8 more silver chests in 41-50 range because they always fail in 1-40 at this point, and I highly doubt I'll see 8 successful chests in a single 4th run.
Is that supposed to be 5-6 full loops (250-300 floors) just for 1 weapon, or I'm just unlucky?

I don't think you are just unlucky.

I'm pretty sure the weapons aren't meant to be gotten in a single day.

If they were, people would run out of content really really fast.

The silver coffers are entirely random, so it's difficult to say just how many runs you would need to do in order to get on i235 weapon. I've been in three times--only two times actually counted for my weapon/armor--and they're both at +17.

The lower you go, floor-wise, I think the more likely the silver chests are to just blow up in your face. That happened A LOT to my FC and I when we got into floors 41-50. Only one actually gave us any +1.

Doing my 4th run now, with the Weapon at +28 and the Armor at +27. Could be lucky this time or not.

that's not very encouraging to hear. we ended our first run with 22/21 and i was hoping for it to take a max of 3 runs. while first run was entertaining especially in the later floors, the overall feel is too repetitive to be enjoyable in the long run

The RNG is pretty crazy on those silver chests, I honestly expected more Bronze/Silver chests than the gold in so many rooms. By the end of my first run I ended up 17/9.

im guessing 5-6 loops depending on you rng or if you reset floors 41-49 till you get more than 4 upgrades. I'm starting the 4th run with 26/26. It is repetitive but is the best if you want to lvl an alt, get a 235 weapon and cap tomes in one go.

I ended my first run with +28 +24 and I have just started on my second.

Don't really know if it's considered luck by I got 9+ by the time I reached floor 21 or so.

I didn't go further so see how much rng would favor me at higher floors though (a bit too boring for my tastes).
