I agree you should be able to select the floor you want to enter on after you have completed the floorBeat floor 1-50 within 4 hours and was disappointed because the game doesn't allowed you to go to one of the previous floors you were on and completed instead you have to start out at level 1 and go through it again limited by the remains unchanged until you get back up to level 60. I don't hate the place i just hate the fact I have to start out completely again.
pretty much i have so much fun going in with matched parties tbh never know what party your gonna get.. died on floor 50 boss with party earlier cause no heals but having to take things slow n carefully is a change from just massive pulls over n over again XD
Meanwhile, I went in with my girlfriend and had a lot of fun. The floor 20 boss kicked our asses, but it was fun and interesting. Everything doesn't have to be a straight forward reward treadmill - go in with people you like and you'll have fun.
I'm amazed that resources and labor hours were spent for content which lasts 1 day or perhaps few days. They could integrate a more "hardcore: part of this now in order to gain feedback for the next floors and instead what they did? They made a 1 day mindless trash mob grind with no significant rewards. A boring short lived content nobody will remember or care in few days. Ofc we are whining bout this. SE made those forums for feedback and feedback shall be granted. It is boring, short lived, no "important" rewards, requires no real effort from the player to clear it. I know about the next 150 floors but that's in patch 3.45/3.5 which is loooooong way from now so I do not care for that. What we got now is just a boring mini-game which will die fast.
Eh, usually I'm completely on board with asking for more itemization, but it's pretty obvious what Palace of the Dead is meant to be with regards to the rewards; It's the "casual" version of Nidhogg... You have i235+ for everything because you're doing that content, plenty of people do not touch that content though... I certainly haven't, because I got tired of team jump rope fairly early on into 2.# and 3.0s undersized party option makes me glad I did so, I've had more fun solo/duo/etc.ing 2.# content than I've had with the majority of 3.# content... Palace of the Dead pretty much has that built in and it's fairly grindy, which I'm certainly not going to complain about... I've always wanted more content that I can just log on and do, either solo or with a handful of friends... Not everyone has a full static and not everyone enjoys the "Watch Mr.Happy guides then put up with man-children pointing the blame at everyone but themselves" culture that surrounds the "hardcore" content... This was not designed with people who have enough free time to study for boss fights in mind... Heck, it wasn't even entirely designed for people who are at the level cap... It's Levequest-level content, that's not to say it shouldn't be more engaging or challenging (contrary to popular belief, challenging and casual are not mutually exclusive), but that's the lens I'm viewing Palace of the Dead through...
That said... I don't need or care for these weapons... I'll take them on Jobs I "need" them on, but I'm perfectly happy playing XIV in as low as i200 at the moment... The vertical progression in this game is ridiculously stupid IMO, give me some horizontal progression or I simply don't care about gear until Lv70... I'll do some stuff (like the Relic quest) just to do stuff, but the actual rewards (as far as stats go, #GlamourIsTheTrueEndgame/etc.) have long since lost value for me... Such a shame gearing up in this game is closer to the original Final Fantasy, than something like Final Fantasy IX, which had a bloody amazing system for horizontal progression... Nearly 3 years since it was suggested... Sigh...
