I don't think the mobs need to be easier for solo, I just think the traps need to be less dickish. The ones that don't outright kill you just make you waste a bunch of time for no reason, and having to clear ten floors already puts time at a premium.

I'd like to see Pomanders of Reraise and/or progress saves every 5 levels. It doesn't even need to actually be the end of the dungeon, but if you make it to floor 17 and die you start back at floor 15. I don't even care if I lose my pomanders. Just let me not waste 30-40 minutes per attempt.

Usually there is at least a chance for the player to make it when you make statements like "see how far you can get". When there isn't a chance at all and the whole thing become legitamately impossible, that's when you start asking questions on whether its luck and something the player can overcome, or if its design that you haven't thought through and making you look like the guy that made level 11 in Battletoads.(for those at home: it couldn't be beaten with 2 players on the NES.)

I'm gonna keep at it, as it helps level the gear, though the boss encounters have me thinking if its still designed for 4 players, mechanics and all.
It doesn't need to be "easy", but it should at least be possible to set up a solo version of the boss encounter for solo players.

Of course you could not really beat it with 2 people, in Battletoads you kill you ally 90% of the time.

This is amusing, I've compared end game content (usually trials) to the jetski level in battletoads numerous times.

Going to see how far I can get on SMN, seems to be the "safe option". Since I left it at 50 I was able to summon Garuda and Titan (took me by surprise since I thought it would be carbuncles.) once I reach their respective levels, and then once I gained Sustain and a couple levels I was able to solo the boss down without using an item.

I had a much easier time than I envisioned doing 1-10 as a BLM. A few mobs are immune to CC but sleep and bind were definitely handy, and when it came to fighting the boss I killed him waaaay faster than I did on Archer or on Warrior.

I'd actually bet that Scholar is the best bet for solo, But I haven't seen much beyond floor 30 solo so I could be mistaken.
