    PSA: When soloing Deep Dungeon.

On the 11-20 stretch beware an enemy called Palace Slime, they use an attack called Rupture that is instant with no telegraph and no warning and will hit you even if you're kiting. Made solo impossible on any setup where I had to fight one, it's rather irritating. The move needs a cast time and a telegraph or just a telegraph.

First time it exploded about 5 seconds after pulling it and one shot me, second time around I was kiting it and despite being well out of melee range it still one shot me, any subsequent runs I just avoided them. I was a level 23 paladin at the time with around 800 hp, the move hits for 1600-1800. All other times after I just bypassed them entirely rather than fight them even if it meant skipping a chest.

They don't pop if stunned, and as a PLD you have access to Shield Bash from 18. Just stun them, and kill them quickly. Yes, they suck, but they're not THAT bad. Not compared to certain other mobs in there... Like the Skatenes.

Ugh, Skatanes. Had a matched group that ran into two of them at once, followed by our tank (not paying attention) making large pulls and stepping on a summoning trap. I don't know how the hell we lived through that, but we did.

Fight the hornets near a corner and just run around it to LoS them when they start to cast.

Back to topic, I hadn't had a problem with the slimes until I was on the 15th floor with Gloom in effect when I had my first experience with Rupture. Needless to say that I was pissed that my progress was entirely undone by such a cheap move. No telegraph, instant cast, insane damage, dead MNK even with Fists of Earth and Pom Steel. No thanks.

Fortunately you can avoid slimes entirety by toggling walk before getting near them (same for the bigger Nankas, but the small ones still sight aggro).

If you got any Pomander of Witching slimes make a good target, since it prevents them from using any skills.

So that's what's been killing me... twice now I've run across a luring trap and while trying to kill all three mobs I'd suddenly just keel over dead. I thought it was some bug with the luring traps...

    My solo experience so far:

Died the first time at the very first floor as MCH.
Died again at the sixth floor as MCH again.

Still want to reach Floor 50 all alone >: D

Any survival tips for me? xD

tried to solo it .... went as mnk ....died to bee final sting like almost every1 :P (bring back memories of sarutabaruta :3) , got to boss on 2nd run , got killed so fast it wasnt even funny (using potions , second wind ) and had full buffs up....that place is not worth to solo , since the dungeon doesnt change if u go solo or light party...

if only solo there were less mobs , or had 1/4 the hp.... maybe sch / smn can solo the place albeit slow....it took 2h:30min for a premade to clear the 50 floors , solo can take what? 10h? and i guess u will die in the 40-49 floors , too many mobs , patrols , add traps bird sleep + minotaur aoe.....= GG
