You assuming my knowledge and motivation is the only thing that looks foolish here. I know about the earthquake. I just don't think it's a valid justification for their actions, particularly on datacenters that aren't Japanese.

They're punishing 1,270,000,000 people over something that happened to 1,800,000. And that's being generous and assuming every single person in Kumamoto is unable to get online. Yes, they are a few. An infinitesimal few. 0.1%
