Previewing Walls/Floors

Would be really nice if you could preview all of the wall/floor options from the housing UI without needing to have the item in your inventory... then I could know a lot easier what I want.

Think of how you can preview all the different dye colors without actually having the dye in your inventory. Use the same basic UI, except it changes the walls/floor of your house/room.

If you want to specifically see how it would look in your own home (with all furniture and the like) though,
I don't think there is any easy way to implement this and I don't really think it's worth the effort for the devs.

I agree 100% with this, as well as a preview option for dying furniture would be amazing.

I know it is just a stopgap as an in-game one would be better, but this site http://en.ff14housing.com/ has screenshots of all the housing items (walls and floors included) that are currently in the game.

I do agree with this but I also like invading other peoples homes not just for ideas but also to see what things I like or dislike. The problem comes down to identifying things once in a while. I can't tell you how many things I've crafted and have been wrong about what they are.
