    Reclamation of Inactive House?

On patch note 3.3 there is this:

"In light of the recent earthquake in Kumamoto, Japan, the counter for estate auto-demolition has been suspended until the release of patch 3.35."

3.35 is out now. Is the auto-relinquish system back now?
God i just want small plot. Any1 can answer me with details?
This wasn't mentioned on 3.35 patch note.

PS: I understand the point of halting the timer AND i live here @ japan so i know that the government here is doing great for those victims already so whats up with the long wait?

They added a bit extra to the 3.35 patch notes a few hours later:

In light of the recent earthquake in Kumamoto, Japan, the counter for estate auto-demolition has been suspended until the release of patch 3.4.
So that's probably around end of September time. Sorry

That's lame. They shouldn't ruin things for everyone just because a few people had bad luck. In the WoW beta you could win an Alienware PC by being the first of your class to level cap. I was the highest warlock for a while until a hurricane knocked out my electricity for almost a week. Did I go and demand the entire contest be put on hold just for me? Of course not. I'm an adult. Life isn't fair. Grow up Squeenix.

Is not about "few people had bad luck", is a marketing strategy, because SE main target is Japan, and many people are busy with their rebuilding their REAL houses, so, SE knows that if they hold the Housing timer for a few months, they will have loyal costumers, grateful their virtual houses are still in place and pay many, many subs (also, the Dev team are located there, is not surprising if they or their families were also affected by the earthquake).

First know what the earthquake and its aftershocks did before you come off sounding more of a fool. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Kumamoto_earthquakes

Population of Kumamoto Prefecture is 1.8 Million over half live in the capital city of Kumamoto (731,286 as of 2012)

A little more than 'a few people' Lol

    In perspective.

San Francisco, California looms about 800,000 People (in 1989 When Hit with the Loma Prieta Earthquake, it took several months for the city to recover https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_L...eta_earthquake)

I imagine Kumamoto has a large subscriber base for them which is why they are putting it off.

Also the city infrastructure is still badly damaged. With many houses still in piles of Rubble and limited or shut off transportation lines in addition to utilities that need repaired.

Don't really agree with the way that Pixelmancer put it, but at the same time I don't 100% agree with SE either. It's a great thing that they did put it on hold but in my opinion they should have limited it to the Japanese data centers only. There is a huge player base outside of Japan too.

You assuming my knowledge and motivation is the only thing that looks foolish here. I know about the earthquake. I just don't think it's a valid justification for their actions, particularly on datacenters that aren't Japanese.

North America has a population of 528 million. Europe has a population of 742 million. The whole of Japan including unaffected areas has a population of 127 million. They're punishing 1,270,000,000 people over something that happened to 1,800,000. And that's being generous and assuming every single person in Kumamoto is unable to get online. Yes, they are a few. An infinitesimal few. 0.1%

Hopefully with the benefit of actual perspective you realize how ludicrous your argument is.

The thing is: most of the player base feels, you know, sympathy for the people affected by the earthquake, and respect SE decision, even when many, many players have waited years to get a plot.

By November many plots should be released, until then, farm Gil and check the housing areas as most of us do.

3.4 hasn't been released yet. You'll have to wait until the end of September when the patch hits to see if they reactive it or extend the shut off.
