Apologies for the delay as we confirmed the status, but the rewards are being prepared for delivery and will be sent in sequence to the users who earned them. You will receive them via the moogle delivery service, so you just need to hang tight a bit until they arrive! We apologize that the Lodestone announcement text wasn't clearer that it would take a bit of time following the maintenance to begin sending the rewards.

This actually wasn't a very important question to respond to as we all know the rewards will be distributed eventually anyway. The better question I'd love a response from dev is whether or not the season 2 gear differs from season 1? The fact that you display an image of a character donning season 1 gear on that season 2 page is leading ppl to believe the rewards are the same.

"the rewards are being prepared for delivery" do they all get a ribbon on the package? xD, man I am usually not so impatient, but this was like the thing I was looking forward too like some others here ....
In which sport does a second season begin when people didn't get the rewards from first one ^^ just feels a little weird.. I hope the time difference in No.1 ->100 getting it, isn't very long, some people will probaby think they are skipped then

Eh, I kind of agree with Dimitrii... It's pretty apparent that the rewards are coming, the updates I'd have wanted is more of a date at this point, but I do appreciate the apology for the confusion from SE though. Right now I'm honestly more concerned about what they're doing with season 2... I don't even really care about the gear anymore if season 2 is offering carbon copies, that's devalued the gear IMO and since I didn't get the gear yesterday, it no longer really matters to me when I get them... What potentially does matter to me now is if season 2 is even worth bothering with... I'll eventually jump back into that salt farm just to see if the matchmaking/rating/LB changes have made it slightly less salty, but if I've already got the rewards I worry interest for season 2 will just wane...

That said, I can maybe see this working out... I mean, one of the major problems with season 1 was people dropping out to hold onto their rating to get their reward... If we've already got those rewards, we're able to be a lot more reckless and hopefully that keeps the mode alive and more competitive for longer... The complete absence of any new rewards is still troubling though, I really think they need to look into that... I think custom minions (not #1 gets a unique minion, but #1 gets a unique minion made of them for all the world to purchase with Wolf Marks or something) would be quite nice, perhaps even unique crests (like how we can put the FC crest on gear) could work, though IDR if that washes off in instances or not... Weapons are also another possibility... I think this could actually be the perfect opportunity to introduce PvP "Relics" as a truly long term grind goal... Lets say I place #94 again in season 2, I get nothing for that so why would I bother? If they make it so we get tokens based on rating though... They can do some interesting things with that... It perhaps runs the risk of repeating seasons 1 rating holds, but I think it also adds incentive to keep aiming for higher rating... If 100 rating = 1 token, and you need 99 tokens per weapon... That's incentive for people to keep coming back for each season and it's a reward for everyone, just a very long way off if you cap out at Silver rather than pushing into Platinum... IDK, there are other ways to work that concept and I blame the heat for how stupid this probably sounds... I think we definitely need something new though... A rating based long term reward seems ideal to retain interest across the board though, people winning each season have reason to keep playing and people not getting into the top 100 still have reason to keep trying... SE also has the benefit of such a reward being potentially several seasons off being obtained, so they don't need to rush to implement it...

Having said that, I may not be in any particular rush to pick up the gear anymore, but the fact that it's even taking this long is still a tad concerning... This shouldn't be complicated and it really should have been dealt with during the maintenance... I can go on the Mog Station now and purchase a minion, and it'll be in my mail pretty much instantly... You've had these results for plenty of time now, but PvP apparently isn't enough of a priority to deliver the rewards... I'm not annoyed at the wait at this point, I'm annoyed at the sentiment the wait implies... If nothing else, I hope season 2 is more organized after this, not that'll it matter much if I'm just getting the same rewards... No idea why this wasn't automated in advance, presumably you didn't have someone checking everyones rating and updating the leaderboard by hand each day, why there is any delay on sending out rewards is just perplexing...

I really hope not, I keep nervously checking the mail icon for a new letter. >.< I wish we had a timeframe, or a reason for the delay. Like if they are investigating the cheaters to deny them the reward, I can understand because real players who were otherwise screwed would rightfully receive rewards for the play throughout the season.
