From the talks it seems like a mix of ffxi nyzul and old days grind lvling.
Looking forward to it
* Patience is also a challenge that pple often fail

I know people hate the whole 'carrot on a stick mentality' but the longevity of this system and its content are based around providing incentives. Once people get their weapons and the materia market crashes will people still be running this? That is something they need to ask, and I am afraid it will quickly diminish in popularity. The experience is slower than FATES. The gil reward is a fraction compared to Aquapolis when you consider time spent. The tomes are slower than just running dungeons. I think the system should just prevent you from getting the boss floor bonuses more than once a week, but instead make the gil, tome, and crafting reagent rewards much higher.
I think they did good in the incentive department, theres 2 minions and a mount that give people incentive to run it at least 16 times... But I just feel it's a bit too easy, especially since it rewards lvl 235 weapons. It's easier than the regular dungeons we have now.I think this would have been a good opportunity to give ppl more endgame stuff to do besides grinding tomes and savage (which no1 does). Just kind of feels like a missed opportunity. I know there are more floors coming that are suppose to be more challenging, but god knows how long till that happens. And doesn't nullify the fact you will have to beat the 50-100 easy floors to get to the hard ones
The content itself is decent imo.

It's barely like Nyzul. The only only thing they have in common is random layout. That's it. Bosses in Nyzul were harder. There were more challenges and objectives. Here, it's just kill a bunch of mobs. Rinse and repeat. Deep dungeon isn't bad, but it's lacking. Honestly, I'm getting real tired of "story" content being so easy. Just stop it. It doesn't need to be savage difficulty, but there's no reason why this couldn't be a challenge.

How I see the difficulty in PofD:
4 man party - easy mode (if you just want to rush through it)
solo - challenge (have to think about how to pull, have potions ready to use, have to use the pomandes more often)
Don't know how it is with 2 man

I found it changelling with 2. The first 20 level were kinda facerolling, but The dificulty spiked at the start of 21 floor. We had to be more carefull and nearly ran out of time. I miss auto res...
New content comes out and people are disappointed.
Shocker...
Next time I am going to have a betting pool going on how many people will dislike/compare to/complain on what they would of done different/better/at all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irCpiVqtCP0 - This episode of The Simpson's describes it well enough...

I do expect that the content gets a bit more complex later tho.![]()

As far as 'easiness' is concerned in think SE is accommodating to the current player base and how they are going about is pretty good.
Most pple that play nowadays are those that prefer to abandon raid/trails after 3 or so wipes.
(something unthinkable during XI days)
So unless they have the luxury of a static, it would be hard to deal with a more 'challenging' deep dungeon from the get go.
(Im sure SE knows that not everyone can find a static as not everyone lives in the 'main' time zones)
