go to : ..\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot and open ffxivboot.ver in notepad or a text editor and change the last number to 0
What it should look like : 201x.xx.xx.0000.0001 - > 201x.xx.xx.0000.0000
Save & boot your game again its should patch your patcher back & force the patch too !

That boot folder did the trick for me, thank you.
How do you port-forward? I still couldn't be able to get the updates

So far, is working.. for now, the last night i got the error with 530mb left![]()
I have manage to get the updates finally, I reset the laptop to fully wipe, it took me an hour and a half time just to get it wipe. Then I reinstall the launcher and it was running perfectly fine with no errors at all but it sucks that I have to get the update all again from 2014, But I must say the speed is slow tho, it's still downloading now, hopefully can get back on tomorrow morning
The GhostVPN didn't work on me but the fully reset did.I was having the same problem till I found an older post about the same topic, they were talking about using a VPN called CyberGhost. I don't usually try that stuff but I looked them up and they seemed legit and it actually started downloading. I feel I must tell you though that it didn't start getting past the version update till I fully uninstalled the game in both folders and reinstalled from the playersdownload site.
I've tried full reset, vpn and everything on here. Nothing is working. This is on 2 different computers. Not happy right now.
