I've been trying to play the new Frontlines map..

I login, que for it. Do all my dailies, talk to some people, make some food for myself, and I'm still in the que!

This has happened almost every single day for at least an hour. Is anyone even playing anymore? I'm queing for the Frontline roulette too.

First, I wouldn't bother with the Front Lines Roulette. It's broken and not optimized for efficient match making. If even one person is queued for Secure/Slaughter/Seize, then the system has a conniption fit trying to figure out how to slot people into a full match, and you'll end up getting jumped around between lobbies while it tries to fill in the gaps. GC restrictions just compound that issue, so it's almost always a longer wait time then just directly queuing for the game mode you want.

That said, in my experience Shatter is pretty much a flop. It had potential, but SE really dropped the ball with this one. There's too much PvE and not enough PvP. The map is cool, but it's unbalanced, and they are still, despite an overwhelming number of complaints, refusing to remove GC's and fix queue times; so, by and large most people have given up on it in the Primal Data Centre. There's still a few die-hards out there who are either trying to farm a mount or just hate Feast for whatever reason, but most people don't bother. The queue time is too long for what you're getting. People started going back to Feast about 2 weeks ago looking for real PvP, and since then Shatter has been fairly quiet.

With palace of the dead coming out tomorrow PVP will once again be on the back burner the next week or 2 even more so than it is now. The feast season ends tonight so can probably get alot of matches in tonight with people scrambling to get last minute points. If you are trying to get the mount for shatter though at this point I feel sorry for you since it's a pretty dead mode. Even winning over 65% of my matches the past 3 weeks as maelstrom I still don't have the mount the queues are that bad. Not that I care either way really if I get it but since the win rate was so high I figured I may as well try. Anyway long story short queue for shatter directly and switch to either adder or flames on primal for fastest queues but even then don't expect too many queues a day.

I think if pvp could be changed to cross- data center then the queue times would be good a lot more often, but it's probably not feasible with lag and all. I would also welcome updates to older modes like Secure and then add something else to the roulette bonus to stimulate participation in all modes. And a new weekly quest given at Wolves' Den Pier which asks you to do one each of Secure, Slaughter, Seize and Shatter to get a choice of rewards.
