I want them to bring back the original 1.0 Arcanist design but as a new class/job. They were planned to fight with magical traps and use a mechanical staff.
Sadly it seems that train has left - SE has recycled the staff models that had originally been planned for 1.0's ACN.... for the muskets wielded by the gnath in Heavensward (most easily seen during the vath beast tribe quest cutscenes where the vath braveheart draws his musket, it's exactly the same model as the ACN 'mechanical staves' in 1.0).

But regardless the magical traps seemed like a really interesting concept!
