Aether Currents

Hello!

This is my first time trying to collect Aether Currents and from what I have read the last patched moved all of them around to different locations. I looked online but I couldn't find any updated guides. So I am reaching out to the forums to see if anyone has an updated guide. I swear I have ran over the forelands multiple times and I cant find all of them.

Any help would be appreciated!

I would say try the old guides, if they fail try your aether compass...

As legion said, use the old guide then use compass. IMO I think they just move them to an easy to reach place.

The Aether Currents are in easier to reach places that are closer to areas you are normally visiting during the storyline. They also changed the quests that give you currents so they are ones that are at the beginning of quest chains or standalone ones so when you get to a new quest area you can easily pick out what to prioritize. It might be tough to find an updated guide since once we have unlocked them we can't see them anymore so the people that did the maps months ago aren't able to go back and check where they are now.

A little tip if you weren't aware, the Aether Compass can be put on your hotbar and used while on a mount, it makes it a lot less cumbersome to find the currents that way.

Doesn't directly help but you can use the chocobo porters to still fly without the currents, you can cover more ground searching by air and they allow you to dismount at any time along the travel path.
