If this is related I'd rather have dragoon as it is now, then dragoon with a wyvern pet.
You hit harder and you don't have to worry about managing a pet. Big numbers are fun \o/
He doesn't hate them. Something about jobs like bst/blu being difficult to fit with FFXIV's current design. They could still happen.
If it is true that he doesn't like pet Jobs, then what about summoner... you are in fact, summoning "sort of" a pet with that job
People don't like seeing BIG numbers come from there own character anymore so most pet classes in games these days are nothing more than a glorified AA. Also he said he doesn't want new players to feel overwhelmed playing a pet centric character and not knowing how to handle it....
Well only Yoshi himself knows the answer to this unless he directly said he doesn't like them, which I don't think he has.
I can understand that personal my view is that for beastmaster you have finish hull-breaker Isle hard mode to unlock beast master job. for puppet master you have beat anti-towerPeople don't like seeing BIG numbers come from there own character anymore so most pet classes in games these days are nothing more than a glorified AA. these place would come avaible to go job hubs for these two jobs

He never said he doesn't like them but that they are complicated to add and fear that new players would be overwhelmed with a true pet class. Pretty silly if you ask me.
