Dragonskin maps are not a reasonable way to farm glass/lumi fibers; you'll get around 1 per 10 maps for the entire party.

Blue scrip and Void Ark desynth are the only way to farm several per day.

requires 7 moogle beast tribe tokens for each glass fiber which is more than can obtain in a single day instead of bought with gil from the NPC if reputation high enough. The only other option is desynth of level 60 3* quality gear for a chance at luminous fibers I think.

You can desynth gear bought with blue scrip and a counterfoils (i180 level) for the glass fibers.

Or you can level your moogle beast tribe, get 9 tokens per day, thus get one glass fiber per day, with the occasional two glass fibers that day.

I have no problem with Eikon Leather materials. Luminous fibers are also a whole new tier of mat so it's not a good comparison.

Funny. There are no mobs around the vendor that sells the branches - just a few npc's.

Too bad the vendor doesn't sell HQ branches. :-p

Seriously, I'm contributing to the discussion about the nodes vs other nodes. It's nice that the vendor sells the branches, but it's not the part of the discussion I was contributing on.

It's not so much a matter of there being more danger in farming these, it's that the amount of things needed for 1 eikon leather is out of balance with the others (eikon cloth, iron ingots, high mythrite ingots)

Not a good comparison. The other eikon mats require legendary node mats to be gathered. While you need more camphorwood branches for the camphor, they come from regular nodes and not once every 70 minutes nodes.

Edit. Wattle bark needed for the leather. But it is an older mat and lower quantity required than the other eikon mats.

I think there is a big gap in information here. Probound does like to gather and craft his own stuff...I can relate to a point but those particular nodes are a pain the butt. Roth is an extremely proficient crafter. So with that being known I am supposing that them gathering themselves isn't going to happen everytime and they are using the mog vendor exclusively. As for many high ilvl crafters camphor is a considerable pain. It has been stated multiple times throughout other threads what a pain Camphor is b/c many crafters just need to spam it and don't even need it to be HQ. I believe that is the core nature of this post is for those of us with high enough stats let us spam the recipe. I also think it would be a great recipe for spirit bonding.

The comp are not the problem
It's easy to farm birch even with the biast around

The hard part is self craft all camphor manually
It's not even the final comp
But the pre-comp of a comp

It should be as hard as smithsonite gathering : easy
Having it quicksynth is the most logic thing

Eikon leather also only requires one item of the timelocked gathered items when the others need 3. So unless you dont want to buy these mats off the MB you will be able to farm Eikon Leathers faster. One thing you can do is to craft a set of carbon set to spititbond while you gather the branches and make a set to spiritbond while you craft the camphor.

I understand the sentiment...I really really do but for myself, ain't no dang way i am going to craft a set to SB to get the items that a vendor sells to make something that is a part of something else that I need x 3. That is the longest version of getting your camphor ever. I didn't get all this gil so I could run around like a maniac doing that kind of thing. Sorry just my own lazy perspective.
