Ya I know it's going the long way because I checked a while ago which servers it passes through.
The only issue is the servers I pass through are SE servers also lol.
They are all from their company so it's still their servers messing it up.

I understand what you're saying, but it seems unlikely you would be going through Square Enix except for the last few servers, simply because they don't do networking... If you just meant because it has SE in the addresses, possibly the naming convention that node is using means it stands for South East or something like that, but unless the actual domain (the bit before the last dot) is Square Enix or one of their companies, it's nothing to do with them.
Well for sure it is the servers because they went down for emergency maint because they were screwed up lol.

The reply I got from SE is a bit ridiculous...
Dear Customer,
Regarding your request for technical support. Please find your answer below.
If you are disconnected during play or logged out due to an unstable connection, there is a possibility of a transmission issue.
Please try these steps to see if they resolve the issue.
1)Restart communication equipment
Turn off the power of your communication equipment for 30 minutes to an hour.
Unnecessary data accumulated on the equipment will be initialized, possibly allowing for smoother transmission.
2)Update firmware of communication equipment
Update your "firmware," the program running your communication equipment.
If firmware is outdated, your communication equipment may not function properly, so please update your firmware before trying the version update again.
*Consult with the help manual when updating firmware. Also, even if your firmware is up to date, rewriting it may improve the situation.
3)Check settings for security programs and firewalls
There is a possibility that security programs and firewalls are interfering with files related to the game. Please remove these functions for files related to "FFXIV: ARR"
4)Check security services of your internet provider
Depending on your internet provider or service plan, there may be security services included.
Please confirm that these security services permit online gaming.
5)Because other applications may interfere with your installation, close any running apps
?The following steps can be followed in msconfig to stop all apps
1. If using Windows7, enter this character string in the search field near the bottom of the start menu
?"msconfig"
2. "System Configuration" will be activated.
?Select the "General" tab and under the "Startup Selection" category, select "Select startup options"
3. Remove the check from the "Load startup categories" box and press the "Apply" button
4. Upon clicking the "OK" button you will be prompted to restart your computer.
?Windows will be started with the minimum amount of applications running, so please try your download
*Please follow the above instructions at your own risk. Settings will have to be set back to normal after the download.
6)Remove routers
In order to diagnose the issue, remove routers and hubs temporarily.
*This may change your connection to a broadband connection. Please consult with your provider for connection settings.
7)Check router settings
Check the settings of security functions (such as SPI) for your router.
Also, use a port that can be used for the game.
*For details, please consult with the manufacturer of your router.
Thank you for contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.

i'm tired to listening "Is for your internet, not fault of SE", if problem is my connection, why.... WHY a lot of ppl have the same problem? different county, different internet, and still have the same problems, and repeat... This problem began on July 1 after maintenance. and... about wtfast... yes, is better with wtfast... but does not fix forever. every 20 min have freeze and posibbly disconnected, and repeat... a lot of ppl of my static, FC, Linkshell and Duty finder, say the same, but read, Not all ppl, but if a considerable number.
It doesn't matter where you live, or what Internet provider you use, what matters is how you get to Square Enix's servers. If you think of it like a big road map, as we've seen from multiple traceroutes, the road with Level 3 Communications is sometimes "blocked" (peak times especially) and traffic going through there at those times slows down drastically (so in turn you get latency issues/delays/rubber banding and even disconnects if the packet loss is big enough). But if you go via another route, you don't have problems.
Your ISP is responsible for the route you take to get to your destination and it's their choice to send you via the blocked road. I don't know why they choose that route for you (cheaper for them?) and I don't know why Level 3 don't fix their problems (they'd rather not/cheaper for them not to?), but that's just why it happens.
WTFast (and other VPN software) try to work by changing the road you are on. Usually this works as you've seen and you avoid the blocked roads, but it can't always work depending on where you're trying to go and where you're starting from.
Square Enix have no control over your ISP (or the route they give you) or over Level 3 communications (not their company/nothing to do with them).
They can move their servers to a better location. This is the only game I have played with such an ongoing problem for this long of a period.
Hopefully if/when they merge data centers to be grouped by region, they also move them out of Montreal.
Why would they move servers for what is probably less than 0.00001% of the people who are having lag issues.
