If you're using Quelling and stuff correctly then either the tank is trash or just really undergeared. I find this happens a lot on my DRG too, many tanks just aren't used to doom spike spam on big pulls.

Never seen a BLM who can pull aggro from a equally geared tank under QS.
Unless he/she nukes before tank can even touch the mobs.

I usually wait about 15 seconds till i start bombing esp in maxed out content, Ive also tanked for parties where the blm was using single target in big pulls and ripped hate, this may not be your case though. I'm pretty sure any number of statics would want you on them if youre just ripping hate like its paper to geared tanks

edit: Out of curiosity are you using a maxed out relic with optimal stats?

I tend to keep Quelling strikes, manawall and manaward on quick access

If I grab hate from a single mob while burning a group (this happens alot to me) I tend to pop manawall and just burn the mob i have hate on down

You may need to alternate targets in an aoe burn, look how flare operates the one youre focused on gets all the damage then it gets dispersed to less on the other mobs? only advice i can give for that situation

Yes I have relic with 120SS/120CRIT but that should not be a problem. I tested this some hours ago and its still happening.

just wanna say that with savage gear u will encounter this problem even more... i have the same problem lately with my smn... my current ilvl is 267 just a12s parts missing and yeah there is not a single ex-roulette with randoms where i have not to defend myself against mobs leaving the tanks crowd heading for me or my egi. but honestly i can't believe that i run with bad tanks since weeks... what so ever - the only thing you can do like others mentioned before is switching targets while burning a group... always trying to hit the ones with highest LP is worth a try but not a guarantee to solve this problem...

I even have that problem with just ilvl 253 on my BLM. But thats the beauty of the DF and the tanks in there.

Going to assume this is for duty finder content. If you are indeed talking about DF stuff just stick next to the tank and blast away, if you're the new tank it's W/e, healer will just keep you alive. I can see why the kicks happened, a DPS afraid to DPS cause he took hate is no longer doing his job, do it enough and than the scrutiny goes towards the tank instead of you. Now if you get that party that says, "stop dps'ing so much" I would be conflicted cause I like doing big numbers.
