I think SE should just rename the Summoner class the evoker class and add a proper Summoner class in 4.0. They could make Summoner and Evoker branches of Arcanist. They can just add a base class for Scholar. This way everyone will be happy. The people who like the current summoner class will be happy and the people (like me) will like the new proper summoner class. As for the skills, when you unlock Arcanist you can chose which job your going for and the skills going to that job will be yours leveling the class. What do you all think?

On the next episode of "Dear SE: Please change class X completely, because I have a totally other comprehension of class X than you do.":

• Change Warrior to DPS
• Change Dark Knight to DPS
• give BLM a real elemental wheel... fire for dps and ice for MP? What's this crap?
• BRD shouldn't be a bowuser like archer, he should play harp; please differetiate the class/job.
• Feel free to send in your suggestions as well!

These threads need to stop. Not only is Summoner fine, if a bit flawed, there is no such thing as a traditional summoner. Also if you paid attention you would know that evoker and summoner are the same thing, as some games had different names for each job, like lancer/dragoon/valkyrie/dragin Knight, dancer/bard/songstress/performer, evoker/summoner/caller, and more.

If SE did changes just because there were "enough posts" about it, this game would be very different than what it is today. And not necessarily in a good way
