New wards?

I've been searching for interviews or anything of the sort with info on new wards, but haven't had any luck. Has anyone heard anything mentioned about new wards in the near future?

I just resubscribed shortly after the last batch of wards were released and missed out

They literally just added Wards 10-12 like a month ago. They won't be adding any more in the near future. As a fellow Jenova player, I'm here to tell you that housing opens up all the time you just have to be a bit vigilant in your search for it.

I saw a few open plots in the goblet a couple days ago. If they're gone then your best bet is to wait until patch 3.4 when they release the apartment style housing.

The housing auto-demo timer is supposed to start up around 3.35, so 45 days after that's activated some of the abandoned houses should open up for purchase.

September 2nd is the day where you should have all your money saved up, because you'll start seeing houses creep back onto the market.

As for new wards, there's been no word of course, because we just got new plots. However, if past events are any indication, it took them about a year to implement Wards 9-12 after they implemented subdivisions of all the existing wards (1-8).

There's apartments to look forward to (which I think is in 3.4 - probably, that was their goal as I recall. No word on release date, it's usually a 3 month cycle between patches though).

Ultimately, you'll likely get a reclaimed plot of land - they open up more than you think. The system is a double-edged sword, but overall, it's been very good for the active homeless player base.

Remember for the relinquish, any maintenance or emergency downtime pushes the timer back by the same amount of hours. So if right now relinquish time is 4am and after 3.5 hits there's a 3 hour maintenance, it would be 7am.

Personally I'd like to see new residential districts over new Wards. An Ishgard district has been spoken of before, but I'd love to see one for Revenant's Toll (a nearby valley unaffected by the Calamity), and one for Idyllshire. Those places are Adventurer havens and settlements. Why adventurers can't live there is a bit confusing.

Looks like that might not be until 3.4 now according to the patch notes...
