I know they said it might be hard to do but unhidden leather maps already stack, so please? Please please please!
OK I'm done.

I still don't get why it would be hard to implement, just make it so you can only use one at a time, with only one allowed in your Key Items, and have the rest stacked.

Even if you open 2 min/btn nodes and get a map in each, if you actually gather the first one, the 2nd one will be prevented saying you can't gather any more maps at this time. I've run across it when doing favors and tried it. Apart from that I can't see how there'd be any way to abuse it.

Map stacking, or at least removal of the Unique flag, would be a godsend. It would allow people to easily gather their one map a day everyday and then get with their FC/friends and do all seven of them each one day a week. Those with at least three aid extra retainers can do it now by dumping maps on the various retainers, but others cannot.

.....obviously all the "advantage" above were the reasons why it is not stackable.
And apparently the system was designed like this forcing players selling their spare maps but not stocking them. And I think if it is stackable, SE will not add new good item to old maps^^;

What makes you think they will "add new good item to old maps" anyway?

Someone asked about this during the e3 liveletter (I think, my brain seems to jumble them together). The response showed no favor towards making maps stackable and was instead simply an explanation of them not wanting players to hoard maps. While it would be convenient, it doesn't appear to be something they're even looking into.

Was that from another thread? I don't see anyone mention adding items to old maps. They have made more uses for materials only available through old maps though (like mariner cloth from boarskin maps).

Dustytome, that was in direct response to the post by Nicobo right above it.
