    Float and Mobility QoL Changes

    I had a few ideas regarding player mobility as of late and would love some official feedback or consderation on them. If you agree, please show your support and let's get it noticed!

    1. With the changes made to Sprint and TP use in PvP, is there any reason not to implement this for PvE as well? There have been many times I've personally had to sprint to get to safety or avoid/soak a mechanic with a party member. Taking a hit to my TP only then impedes my ability to stay in the fight. PvP proves there's no loss, and plenty of reason to remove TP cost from Sprint entirely.

    2. As it was possible with things like Wanderer's Minuet/Gauss Barrel to become instant cast abilities, can we have mount summoning be made an instant cast? Is there a reason mounts retain/require a cast time?

    3. White Mages, Summoners, and Astrologians clearly levitate during the use of certain skills, as we all do when using Teleport and Return. This suggests that a Float spell would indeed be possible. Can we have this as either an alternative/secondary to Sprint and/or possibly an abstract mount? (Please note: I'm not considering this as a flying mount. Would be cool, but we have plenty of flying mounts that we don't need to fly ourselves.) This would be quite useful in both PvE and PvP, and not just for the jobs mentioned!

    1.) PvP exists?

    2.) Mount summoning should be immediate, but still have a cooldown (say 1 min?) so that people aren't egi-flipping all over the place. So I mostly agree with this. There shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't insta-cast an egi after a wipe without wasting your swiftcast.

    3.) Pixie dust.

    Snark aside, Sprint had its TP cost removed for the sake of the Feast, where it otherwise would have given casters an unfair advantage (considering they don't use TP at all). If they can remove it for PvP, there's little reason to keep it in PvE content. And again, with both game modes in mind, instant mount summoning would be beneficial, and a nice QoL change in general. Maybe it'll help people get to hunts or unspoiled/ephemeral nodes a little faster? As it stands, unless there's literally a technical reason why, there's no reason why not to have instant mount summons.

    Instant-mount summoning would be very nice, eypecially with internet that's somewhat slow sometimes, but not all the time. So sometimes I can start running again when the cast is almost full without it interrupting, and someimes it gets interrupted when I run as soon as it's finished and i have to summon it again.
    As for the other two, I'm a main whm so TP doesn't really affect me, and the floating mount would wurely be nice! I think I saw someone sugesting it somewhere before, but I cannot remember for sure.

    I've always thought this was the reason why it can't be used by non-casters in PvE. Balance issues.

    PvP balance and PvE balance are two entirely different beasts. In PvP, there is no guarantee who will be hit by what when. PvE fights follow strict scripts and the roles are expected to react to or even preempt mechanics in certain ways.

    One thing that Disciples of Magic do to handle mechanics is to activate Sprint a couple actions ahead of a mechanic to give them a lead time when the mechanic comes up. Excepting BRD/MCH, Disciples of War can perform any of their attacks while on the move, and do not need to pre-pop Sprint because their attacks only care about where they are at the moment of initiation, not the point of animation. In addition, every melee DD and one tank has a leap or teleport, while the other two have immovability buffs.

    It would be easier to argue some Sprint reconsideration for just BRD and MCH post 52, but at least in the case of retreat, BRD already has the advantage of Repelling Shot, and if you use it for what it was intended for, you can make a quick getaway without the devs having to recode Sprint.

    Think of those moments, let's use Nidhogg Ex, when you're dodging to a pre-designated spot, but that one guy in the party is tunneling and heading your way while targeted for something. This is when Sprint can be helpful, and without the penalty of sacrificing your DPS resource. And speaking frm a MCH's point of view, I have no defensive cooldowns, and no evasive maneuver. Blank (which most bosses are immune to) and Sprint are my only tools to work with to attempt to deal with avoidable damage. I don't even have a self heal (however potent or not) to fall back on if I/someone else slips up and I take a hit for it. Sprint isn't much, but it's saved me plenty of times, with a price.

    I don't mean this as "snark" as you put it, but this is some of the worst reasoning possible to be for this. PvE and PvP are entiiiirely different beasts, and using the balance of one should not rationalize an identical change to another.
