    New class time?

Greetings all i am returning after an absence of 6 months and yet to finish the expansion storyline. Question I have is im tempted to level a warrior so far I have only played the paladin class and was wondering what some of the bigger differences are between it and warrior. The idea of a big ace has always interested me

In a nutshell, WAR has access to 2 debuffs which boosts tanks/nin damage (Eye) and reduces incoming damage (Path). Your bread and butter defensive CD (Inner Beast) is tied to your tank stance with stacks generation. Likewise when you are lvl60, your DPS stance will also involve generating stacks to do huge damage (Fell Cleave for single, Decimate for AOE).

Pretty much now warrior's skill besides tanking, rests on effective stance dancing meaning dealing damage while tanking or the opposite ( we are not given a 500 potency skill for nothing). It takes confidence to do so though but this way besides being a tank you can unleash tons of damage as well.

Some key pros of warrior i can think of:
    1) Tons of hp
    2) Performs well in dungeons early on with 2 aoe aggro skills from level 12 (Flash + Overpower)
    3) Self sustain with two standard self heals (IB + Storms Path) + Bloodbath which converts 25% of damage done into hp.
    4) Mitigation skills as increasing hp by 25%, reducing damage taken x2 +1 skill with reflect.
    5) Last but not least, the ability to deal high damage even though being a tank is huge for me.

There are many other things which you can come up while playing but i think i covered the basics.

I know you're asking for differences between the two to help decide, and if you were trying to decide between PLD or DRK then I'd offer comparisons and contrasts to explore

    ..but Warrior vs Paladin?

Level your Warrior is really the most appropriate answer, seriously. Dive in.

Use your daily Vandu and Vath Beast Tribes to finish PLD.

    Won't regret it,

There's never a waste having Warrior build ready, and it's not about having the most appropriate tank for this raid or that,

Warrior is the best choice for so many other activities - whether or not you use it for roulettes - that there's value in having it (and I don't mean most value between just the 3 tanks, but most value of all jobs).

As for tanking, you'll discover how much greener the grass is on Warrior's side of the fence eventually

Playing Warrior can sometimes feel like playing a DPS, especially if you're the Off Tank. Effectively, a lot of your tankiness comes from healing yourself with big damage-dealing hits where the more damage you do, the more you heal. When you hit 60 you can do some stance-dancing to dish out huge hits, and swapping back and forth between Defiance (tank stance) and Deliverence (DPS stance) is the bread and butter of being a Warrior.

WAR is a lot of fun, I'd definitely recommend giving it a go, and unlike Paladin the first 40 levels aren't boring.
