DEV REQUEST: Shared Retainer

If you have a house and list something that you want ot send to your alt. Go on your alt and purchase it from your main's retainer at your house.

I've got a house for my alt and main and I'm able to transfer any items or gil. When bought from the retainer you don't lose any gil transfered. No taxes

I have a private fc with 4 of my own characters as the only members... I actively play two of those characters, though. A shared retainer would be amazing. I'm not holding my breath for it, but I agree it would be nice to have.

Yeah they aren't going to add this into the game ever. They would just increase the retainer space if anything. Plus they want players to buy extra reatiners.

Storage space isn't that much of a problem. I do think people just need to retire a class once they max it out and aim toget jobs that share the same stats outta the way. For example level NIN,BRD,MCH to 60 and toss out all the lv1-59 gear they dont need anymore. Samething goes with all your DoH and DoL that share armor sets.

It would be easier to use alts that way and it would free up space on the retainer server, because there would be only 8 retainers per one account on one server. And the saved space maybe could even lead to increased inventory space or free retainers.

So there is this one guy with X retainers on every one of his Y characters. How do you want to merge that?
Should we have to prepare and free up any space on our retainers, which don't belong to our main? Wait, what's our "main" anyway?
Was happens to the min. 350, max. 1400 items on my "alt" (which you can't determine as well)?

No, there is no way in implementing "share all retainers with all characters" right now, without resetting every retainer.
One additional might be possible, if you ask me they could also give us another kind of service, some city-state bank, to share items with alts.

This is the only game I know of that makes it so difficult to trade items between your alts, all in the name of "Anti-RMT". I fail to see how RMT is prevented from doing anything by not allowing anyone to mail their alts. It's easy to move gil with or without the use of an FC. They are preventing nothing.

Fewer pieces of job specific gear and/or more attractive shared gear pieces would help greatly. I have a crap ton of level 50+ gear I keep because I like their look, but a lot of them are job specific. If they were not so specific, I would be able to keep my favorites from the group, but since they are specific, I keep the best for each job I am interested in.

We should have a shared bank where our characters can deposit items specific to the account and any character on the account can access said items. Also, the ability to mail items to alts would be extremely helpful.

Yeah... Tos has pretty terrible restrictions, but it is also a free to play game so the barrier for entry for new rmt accounts is incredibly low.

Also, just because another game has it worse doesn't mean it's still not a terrible plan of dealing with rmt... especially since it really does nothing whatsoever to inconvenience them.

I would much rather have an account wide chest similar to the FC chest or just be able to mail to my alts. It is obnoxious to have to bug my friends anytime I craft something for one of my alts etc.
