I see, I see ... Well, that really sucks for you guys them, because it means you're stuck with the absolute worst PvP game-mode EVER conceived, and I can't imagine those queue times are any good either. A very sad state of affairs for you Aetherites.

Has no one tried to revitalized Feast on your server? It only took one forum post here to get all of the Primal PvP'ers who have been itching for a real fight to crawl out of the woodwork. I would have thought something like that would have been even easier on Aether ... If not, then you have my sympathy, because that would mean that you don't really have any PvP at all on your data centre at the moment.

More often than not, I see people talk about specific worlds rather than entire Data Centres. Well known PvP groups, LS's, or specific players tend to get the spotlight, and their world gets a highlight by association. Gilgamesh and Balmung, specifically, were known long time as having well established and proficient PvP groups and players, and you can see their tags pretty commonly in the end results pages of matches. If you actually tally the numbers, though, the overall population is still quite small. SE would do well to consider mergers for the sake of optimized matchmaking.

I don't think anyone wants to, Feast (Solo) queue is just asking to have an aneurysm. Not to mention the win-trading. (Healer duos queuing when healers lacking, waiting for both their queues to pop, then one of them just pretty much afks/plays exceptionally lackluster for the match). Not even gonna talk about 10 stack tanks consistently throwing matches.

Holy hell, that's bad. I'm glad to say that I haven't seen such behavior over on Primal since Feast's revival. People throwing matches in solo-queue typically only happened here when Feast was overpopulated with tome hunters, because they were only there for a fast pay out. At the height of the season, there were actually PF's set up for it ... which was awful. Thankfully, I haven't seen much of that since Shatter came out, because the only people queuing now are mostly people who are interested in actually playing the game (tome hunters likely still believe the game mode is dead).

I'm honestly kind of surprised that you guys have had such bad play on Aether, given your PvP reputation. I get that competition brings out the absolute worst in people, but helping someone boost their rank by throwing your own win rate under the bus seems very counter-intuitive to me unless the only reason you're there is for tomes. Given that queue times are crap for you guys, I doubt that would still be the case; so, it really does seem odd that there isn't more fair play going on...

One could actually argue its even easier to win trade there now if queues remain dead, since with no one queuing 8 ppl have a much higher chance of all getting slotted into the same lobby and throwing games as they see fit under the cover of "the black week." Kinda sucks for the fringe players 90 to 100 since its fairly likely the lot of them will indeed get knocked out by win traders. Because of the rank tiers considerations in matchmaking lobbies however I'm not sure how one would be able to win trade all the way up to the top 10 like a previous poster hinted so I'm a little skeptical on that. Platinum players cant play in the same lobby as unranked or bronze. The boosters could only really help you get to low gold I think.

A lot of people are saying "queue is dead" on their data center.

The Feast ranked has [Unranked, Bronze, Silver], [Bronze, Silver, Gold], [Silver, Gold, Platinum] and [Gold, Platinum, Diamond] queue brackets. With out you mentioning your rank it's kind of hard to understand if there really is a problem or not with the whole of The Feast or just a bracket problem like I am experiencing.

Are you sure the top 10 has boosters? Pretty sure they all played a lot and won more than the rest.

I suppose I can see how that would be the case, but I still find it odd. I have trouble reconciling the concepts of boosting and solo-queue, specifically. I mean, if you're going to go through the trouble of getting 8 players together to try and boost, then why not just use party queue? I get that consecutive wins with the same party reduce your rank points, but you would at least be guaranteeing the party composition and end result. Whereas, in solo-queue it's entirely possible that your 8 players won't even be in the same match. Even if it's only 2 players who are doing this (the booster and the boosted) it's still a roll of the dice that they'll be slotted against one another, let alone in the same match together. A full group of 8 seems even stranger to me, because unless 7 out of the 8 are willing to sacrifice their own rank for the sake of one player it just doesn't make sense to do it this way.

That said, I also have trouble understanding the concept of a player who is willing to sacrifice their own rank for the sake of someone else in the first place. The only reason I could even imagine this happening is if the player who is losing doesn't actually care about rank ... but then why play Feast at all? Tomes would be the only reason I could think of for that, but if queue times are dead I don't see that being a valid reason to sign up for this kind of bizarre and unreliable strategy. It's very strange. By comparison, tome farmers who were just exploiting a quick queue and a short instance make more sense.

I got Silver friends who queue (fits all relevant brackets) with no pop in sight.
