Toggle option to disable Space Bar in Direct Chat mode for Game Pad users.

It would be nice if you could toggle this off in Direct Chat mode as I find myself disrupting my dance and sit animations whilst conversing with others in Direct Chat mode.

I have no use for the Space Bar in said mode. Being able to toggle keyboard movement/camera controls as a option would be nice as well.

So you want spacebar to be a chat trigger instead of jumping? Because you can already set that up in the keybind > chat > Ready Chat Log . You just need to change jump to something else or leave it blank and it will be disabled. To my knowledge you can't change to direct chat via text command so you have to go into these screens anyway to change modes.

Oh, you beautiful, beautiful person! I never noticed the keybind section despite playing this game for years. I spent my time going through all the menus thinking I had seen everything, yet still made that mistake. lol

I just disabled practically all the keyboard keys except the ones that are mandatory. I no longer have to worry about accidently going out of emotes again. Thanks!

What is direct chat mode?

Easiest way to explain it is it disables the letter shortcuts so typing goes to the chat log immediately without having to press your trigger key first.
Direct chat off: m by default opens the map
Direct chat on: m will immediately put an m in the chat log typing area

On a side i did find going into the keybind screen a bit lacking in options and versatility since the commands are bound to the actions instead of keys (i know why they did it that way but still). So I took the time to build ctrl and alt command keyboards out of the bottom hotbars and the vertical ones. To each their own on that one though.

Ah, guess I am in that mode by default on PS3.

Yeah, since us console players generally use gamepads, any keyboard use will default to chat mode.
