Can I report for being vote dismised?

I don't even know what the hell happened, this is the first time I see this, I was on a wanderer's palace HM run for my BRD relic, and suddenly, after the second boss, I was dismissed, my DPS was really good, I didn't say a thing, I didn't pull before the tank did, I splitted dots to make run faster but always trying not to rip aggro from the tank.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, I'm dismissed. I even checked their names on the lodestone...and bam...healer and tank from the same server and FC.
I'm so pissed atm I could spit fire through mouth. I'd love to punch them on their faces.
Isn't this reportable? I mean dismissing for absolutely NOTHING? (they never communicated, if I was doing something wrong -???-, they could've said at least what).

It's reportable if the dismiss was out of nowhere or only communication from your side. If there was any form of communication on their end, it's fair game unless the intent was vocalized to grief you.

If there was no communication within the party (and they can grab chat logs at the very least), you can't nail it down as different playstyle. Conspiring to kick people in FC Chat would also be a form of griefing.

They did NOT say a word throughout the "entire" dungeon, dismissed out of nowhere. They can go burn in a **** fire.

No, you can't. They could be on voice chat. And multidotting is debatable vs aoe'ing depending on pull size. And they don't even have to be right about which is better for your situation.

It's reportable sure, and you could get lucky but I wouldn't count on it. The only way they'd be in the wrong AND be caught is if they said in game they were kicking you to get one of theirs in.

If they didn't like you not aoe'ing and said so in game, SE won't do a thing. Even if they said in voice chat "hey let's get our guy in but say in chat it's cause he's tossing dots instead of aoe'ing properly".

There you go Pretty dumb IMO. I got vote kicked similarly from a Weeping City recently, though in that case they timed it so it would be at a normal ready check timing

Thanks for the link, been looking for that. And it's not dumb; sometimes it's downright necessary. I had a gordias normal fight we just weren't getting past dps checks, and after a wipe noticed a BRD was spamming Venomous Bite no less than 3 times in a row, and this was when there was only one target to attack. Called them out after the next wipe and got the "I play how I want" retort. So yeah, they got kicked, and I guarantee you plenty of people would never touch df for certain things if that ability was ever taken away.

It's not a reason. Let's be very clear. "Different play styles" is NOT listed as an option for a vote kick.

Report them. I've done it before for that reason. You may never know what action is taken out of it, but hopefully it gives you peace of mind.

The developers have, on record, said that different playstyle is a valid reason to kick, and have stated that the 4 options are not all-encompassing and would not necessarily be related to the actual reason for kicking. It's literally just there for others to see why you want to kick them.

I have reported them already. They may or may not take action against them, either way I won't know (obviously), but at least I've done what I felt I had to. Maybe this was just an isolated incident and these 2 guys were having a bad afternoon and weren't on very good mood, in which case, I'll just have to deal with it, but there's always the chance this isn't the first time they do this, and if that's the case, SE should make sure they do not keep going around acting this way.
