There is 50 and 60 pvp though 50 is pretty dead.

You do not need pvp gear at all
You dont unlock pvp skills but the enhancements you can add as you get points for your pvp rank level.
As for your class, those are fine though I would suggest against SCH in pvp, it isnt that great in pvp
