The Ifrit fight is -already- easy enough that most people who have their stuff together at all can probably clear it if they have a few friends, just by virtue of having more information about the fight and viable strategies and so on. This is /exactly/ what Yoshida wanted, and it worked pretty much perfectly.

Also, yeah, class rebalancing will shift a lot of stuff around; I don't think we can meaningfully complain about fight difficulty until at least the dust has settled from 1.20, and even then, please recall that the job system will be released between "now" and "when this content is either no longer available or significantly different", so the battle system will be shifting, generally in a sense so as to give player characters -more- toys to play with (and kill Primals with), not even counting new equipment added or a potential level cap raise.
